What is 4D Ultrasound?

We feel that realistic surface images provide a connection between parents and child that can be beneficial to the whole family.
Something special happens to parents when the 3D & 4D images are seen compared to the 2D image because the picture of the baby is far more realistic.
In the past, expectant parents weren't able to see their baby's face until he or she was born. Mums and dads could only see black and white images of their unborn child through a traditional 2D Ultrasound.
When is the best time to have a 4D scan?
That depends on what you are looking to see. Many mothers like coming in twice, early on, 22-24 weeks, when they can see the baby as a whole, and then again at 25-32 weeks to see a more detailed face.
Between 26 and 32 weeks, your baby develops more fat and gets a more defined face.
After 32 weeks, it becomes more and more difficult to obtain good pictures since the baby is running out of room.
